I'm Lois Adeyemo, a passionate environmental engineering professional with a relentless dedication to water solutions, environmental sustainability, continuous learning and innovation. Everyday, I am honing my skills and increasing my knowledge in new technologies in water solutions of treatment, design and distribution, Basically, I love Water.
My academic and professional journey has been enriched by several projects, courses, conferences, seminars and workshops, which has further ignited my interest in design and consultancy. I enjoy providing engineering solutions to world problems.
As a civil/environmental engineer, I believe in the power of making a sustainable difference in society through solutions that make life easy. I am excited about the future of water and the opportunity to bring my knowledge and expertise to future projects and collaborations.
Africa Development Bank (AfDB)-assisted Project: Water Resources Study for Jalingo City, Taraba State, Nigeria; Water Treatment Plant (248,189.68 m3/day) Design Component
This project was very interesting and yet challenging. I participated in water resources/supply data collection and analysis for Jalingo city and environs. I calculated projected population and water demand over a design period of 25 years for Jalingo City and environs. I was involved in designing of the water treatment process and prepared the process flow diagram for a new water treatment plant using Edraw Max software. With the use of Microsoft Excel, water treatment engineering textbooks and online research, I was able to design and calculate the capacities of water treatment units including treated water storage tanks and distribution tanks. I also assisted in the preparation of project progress, final reports, engineering drawings using Edraw max and AutoCAD software’s and bill of engineering measurement and evaluation (BEME).
Africa Development Bank (AfDB)-assisted Groundwater Source Water Supply System for Jalingo City, Taraba State, Nigeria (69,300 m3/day Groundwater-source Bulk Water Supply System)
I participated in water resources/supply data collection and analysis for Jalingo city and environs, design the borehole system, water distribution reservoirs and distribution networks. I was able to design and calculate the capacities of water treatment units including treated water storage tanks and distribution tanks. I also assisted in the preparation of project progress, final reports, engineering drawings using AutoCAD and bill of engineering measurement and evaluation (BEME).
