LaunchHer is a one-month, self-paced externship for early-career women in STEM across Canada.
You’ll work with Adelois Consulting on real assignments, and we’ll also build projects around your skills, interests, and dream career. Together, we’ll turn your goals into practical work you can showcase while giving you room to explore what you enjoy. Move through assignments on your own schedule as you practise professional skills, solve problems, and build experience you can confidently discuss in future job interviews.
By the end, you’ll have contributed to our mission and created meaningful work that reflects where you want your career to go.
Program Structure
Applied Career Work & Portfolio - 20 hours/wk
Participants apply practical frameworks to real career goals and build professional assets that strengthen their visibility, confidence, and readiness for new opportunities.
6 Personal Assessments
Career Values Compass, Strengths Audit, Visibility Blueprint, Boundaries Audit, 12-Month Trajectory Map, Personal Brand Snapshot.
Career Mentoring
Structured mentoring sessions with experienced STEM professionals provide personalised guidance, practical feedback, career insight, and support.

6 Personal Assessments

5 Live Classes with Mentors
Networking, career storytelling, being heard in rooms where you’re the only one, negotiating raises and promotions, designing your career.
12 Pod Capstone Sessions
Weekly small-group sessions where your pod of 4 works on a real capstone project together. Like a Work Experience for your Resume. This is where the sisterhood forms.
5 Pod-with-Mentor Sessions
Structured group time with your dedicated pod mentor. Career coaching, project feedback, and honest conversation with a Big Sister.
7 1:1 Mentor Sessions
Private time with your dedicated pod mentor across the program. Your career questions. Your real challenges. Your Big Sister.
1 Community Activity
Capstone presentation graduation event. Your pod shares what you built. Every LaunchHer alum joins the growing sisterhood.

What is LaunchHer?
LaunchHER is a one-month, self-paced externship where early-career women in STEM gain practical experience by working with Adelois Consulting.
Who is it for?
LaunchHer is for women in STEM across Canada who are exploring their career direction or looking to build experience in a field that interests them.
Will I only work on Adelois projects?
No. You’ll contribute to real Adelois assignments, and we’ll also build projects around your skills, interests, and dream career.
What might my project look like?
That depends on where you want to go. We’ll use your goals and strengths to shape practical work that helps you explore a career interest and demonstrate what you can do.
Is there a set class schedule?
No. The program is self-paced, so you can plan your work around your schedule and complete it within the month.
Do I need prior work experience to apply?
No previous professional experience is required. Bring your STEM knowledge, curiosity, and willingness to apply what you know.
What will I gain from the externship?
You’ll gain experience working on real assignments, develop a project connected to your career goals, and have specific work to discuss in future applications and interviews.
Can I participate from anywhere in Canada?
Yes. LaunchHer is designed for participants across Canada.
