Meet the Mentors Behind Your Growth

Lois Adeyemo

Engineering Career Mentor

Lois Adeyemo is a Civil and Environmental Engineer, Graphic Designer, Website Builder, STEM Mentor, Public Speaker and Social Impact Entrepreneur with over 10 years of professional experience spanning engineering design, environmental infrastructure, digital creation, and STEM education. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Newcastle University, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Swansea University, UK.

Beyond engineering practice, Lois is the Managing Principal of Adelois Consulting, a Canada-based career development and mentorship platform supporting women and early-career professionals in STEM through structured programs, workshops, and career acceleration initiatives. She is also the Co-Founder & CEO of AfriteQ Academy, an engineering education academy committed to inspiring children and teenagers—particularly girls—through hands-on STEM programs, camps, and innovation challenges.

In leadership and outreach roles, Lois has designed and delivered large-scale STEM initiatives, directly impacting over 1000 students & young professionals across public schools and community programs.

 

Through her multidisciplinary work, Lois is committed to bridging engineering, design, and mentorship, empowering individuals and organizations to build meaningful careers, strong brands, and sustainable impact.

Adaobi Okonkwo

Tech Career Mentor

Adaobi Okonkwo is a triple-threat professional—Product Manager, Project Manager, and Certified Scrum Master—with over six years of experience delivering tech-enabled solutions across diverse industries. Adaobi is not only passionate about understanding the problem space in her line of work, but also about bridging the gender gap in tech by helping STEM women promote their professional growth.

 

Beyond product delivery, she has built a strong footprint in mentorship, most recently as a three-time Product Management mentor at CAWSTEM, where she guided early-career women through hands-on product thinking, strategic decision-making, and career development. Through this work, she has refined a teaching style that blends structured frameworks with real-world application, helping mentees move from uncertainty to clarity in their tech journey.

Judith Izuka

Science Career Mentor

Judith Izuka is a General Practitioner trained and licensed in Nigeria, currently working as a licensed Clinical Assistant in rural Manitoba. She practices in the Emergency Department at Gimli Community Hospital, where she provides supervised primary and urgent care alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role allows her to maintain clinical currency while working toward licensure as a Family Physician in Canada. She brings a family medicine lens to emergency care, striving to consider the patient holistically despite the acuity of the setting. She has seen that some of the best outcomes arise from shared decision-making involving patients, families, and the care team.

 

Through mentoring, she supports individuals navigating career transitions by offering perspective, clarity, and practical insight drawn from experience.

Ayo Adeyeye

Tech Career Mentor

Ayo Adeyeye is an accomplished lifelong learner, visionary leader, and seasoned Product Manager with over 14 years of progressive experience spanning the financial services, technology, and public sectors. She brings deep expertise in product strategy, business and data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and digital transformation, and has successfully led high-impact initiatives that drive innovation, optimize operations, and deliver meaningful, user-centred outcomes.

In recognition of her leadership and impact, Ayo was nominated for the 2024 Women of Inspiration Awards and named one of the 100 Canada International Black Women to Watch 2025; an honour she proudly received. These accolades reflect her commitment to excellence, influence, and service within her profession and community. Holding professional certifications in insurance, Ayo is deeply committed to advancing financial literacy and empowering individuals and businesses to achieve long-term financial independence. Her passion for continuous learning enables her to navigate complex challenges with clarity and deliver solutions that create sustainable value for organizations, communities, and individuals alike.

Beyond her professional achievements, Ayo is a dedicated advocate for the next generation of talent. She served as a Volunteer Mentor with the FIN Youth Employment Skills Strategy and Tech Momma (Canada) programs, where she actively supported women and youth pursuing careers in technology. Through mentorship and leadership, Ayo remains committed to fostering an inclusive, innovative, and empowered future workforce.

Sunday Owolabi

Engineering Career Mentor

Sunday Owolabi is a seasoned professional with over 15 years progressive experience in the industrial sectors (Manufacturing, Mining, Consulting) driving reliability programs and operational transformations. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate and also possesses a Masters of Engineering and an MBA. He is currently a Program Manager with Agropur Canada.

 

Beyond his professional expertise, He is also passionate about mentoring students and early-career professionals, especially pursuing careers in Consulting, Engineering, and Operational excellence and has mentored in various mentorship programmes, e.g University of Toronto Engineering Faculty, Black Engineers of Canada and a host of others.

Amarachi Chiahia

Tech Career Mentor

Amarachi Chiahia is a UX and Content Writer with over 5 years of experience creating words that guide, delight, and convert. She specializes in simplifying product flows, designing content systems, and crafting full funnel strategies that make brands sound more human and products feel built for their users.

 

Alongside her professional work, she is passionate about mentoring women in tech and STEM. She supports early-career professionals in building confidence, navigating opportunities, and thriving in industries where diverse voices are needed most.

 

Currently, she is focused on helping tech teams and startups develop brand first content systems, write meaningful microcopy, and tell better product stories while using AI thoughtfully to scale without losing voice or value.
