Overview.
STEMUp Mentorship is a a 6-week online, self-paced mentoring program featuring one-on-one guidance from a matched female-identifying STEM professional.
Mentors will be paired to mentees to guide and support their academic and career ambitions, working on areas of skill development and serving as a role model of leadership.
Mentees at any stage of their career, whether early in their undergraduate studies, seeking employment, or looking to advance their careers, are encouraged to apply. Additionally, newcomers to Canada with international experience in water resources who are seeking opportunities in the Canadian water sector are welcome to participate.
In terms of requirements, mentees and mentors are required to be committed a maximum of 60 minutes online meet per week.

Your Eligibility Requirements:
- Identify as a female undergraduate or early career professional or newcomer to Canada
- Possess a strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
- Live and school/work in Canada
- Be able to commit to the entire duration of the mentorship program, including weekly sessions and any associated activities.
- Complete an online application form

Your Eligibility Requirements:
- Identify as a Woman STEM professional
- 6+ years of experience in any STEM field
- Enjoy mentoring and possess leadership skills
- Possess a strong career in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
- Live and work in Canada
- Be able to commit to the entire duration of the mentorship program, including weekly sessions and any associated activities.
- Complete an online application form

For Mentees and Mentors

MENTORING CURRICULUM
The mentoring curriculum will guide you on the best approaches to be have effective mentoring sessions with your mentor.

MENTORING JOURNAL
You will be provided with a specially designed online mentoring journal for your 6 weeks. An online workshop will be delivered on how to use it.

60 Mins Orientation - Online
The 60 minutes orientation gives you an opportunity to as us questions and get clarity on how to have an effective mentoring experience sessions.

Resume and COVER LETTER REVIEW - Mentees
You will receive an individual feedback on your submitted resume and cover letter. This will be requested during the program.

Certificate of Participation
You will receive a certificate for your complete participation in the program.

How long is the program?
STEMUp lasts for 6 weeks only with a maximum of 60 minutes online meet per week with your mentor.
Will it affect my school/work?
STEMUp designed to be flexible enough that it can fit around your school/work schedule. Simply schedule a convenient time with your mentor.
Is there a selection process?
No, our mentorship program requires a participation fee for mentees. Enrollment is based on your commitment to STEM and completion of the program fee payment.
Can I choose my mentor?
While we carefully match mentees with mentors based on interests and goals, you may also request a specific mentor if available.
Is the program free?
No, our mentorship program is a paid program. However, it is an investment in your future that provides personalized guidance, exclusive STEM opportunities, and career-boosting support
How do I apply?
To apply, simply fill out the registration form by clicking the BECOME A STEMUP MENTEE button and complete the payment process to secure your spot.
What is the cost?
Each mentee is required to pay a $100 program fee to access all mentorship resources, expert guidance, and program benefits.
Are there any discounts or scholarships available?
We believe in making mentorship accessible! Limited discounts or scholarship opportunities may be available based on merit or need. Reach out to inquire about eligibility.
