About Lois

Hi, I’m Lois. Your big sister in STEM!
And I know what it feels like to be capable but unsure of your next move. Seven years ago, I was in your shoes.
I graduated from university almost 11 years ago with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and went on to earn a Master’s degree shortly after. But somewhere along the journey, I became completely lost. I struggled to get a job and eventually had to move back home to begin practicing.
At the time, I didn’t fully realize that I was a woman in STEM with the potential to become so much more. One thing I did know, however, was that I was ambitious. I knew I had potential, but I was confused and lacked direction. Looking back now, I realize what I truly needed was a Big Sister in STEM. Instead, what I had was a Big Brother in Engineering. Can you imagine?
Today, as a Civil and Environmental Engineer with over 10 years of experience across engineering, mentorship, STEM advocacy, and leadership, I’ve seen how many talented women struggle not because they lack potential, but because they lack guidance, clarity, and support.
That’s why I created Adelois Consulting. Not just as a business, but as a space where women in STEM can feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow confidently in their careers. Think of this as the mentorship, strategy, and big-sister guidance you wish you had earlier.
Founder & CEO
Empowering Innovation, Education, and Sustainability
Lois Adeyemo is a Civil and Environmental Engineer, mentor, and STEM advocate passionate about empowering women and girls to lead with confidence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Over the past deacade, I’ve worked at the intersection of engineering, education, and advocacy, helping women in STEM gain clarity, confidence, and community as they navigate their careers. My journey began in the field, designing water and environmental infrastructure projects, but it quickly expanded beyond technical work into what I now call my purpose: building pathways for women to thrive in STEM.
Through my mentorship and outreach work, I’ve guided early-career professionals in discovering their strengths, developing their voice, and positioning themselves for leadership. I’ve also inspired hundreds of young girls through STEM education programs, showing them that engineering isn’t just about equations but about creativity, problem-solving, and impact.
I believe that representation matters and that every woman’s story has the power to inspire change. My work is rooted in creating inclusive spaces where women feel seen, valued, and capable of leading innovation in their communities and industries.
Today, I continue to combine my engineering experience with my passion for mentorship and advocacy to lead the next generation of women in STEM, one workshop, one conversation, and one confident step at a time.
