This season, we are recruiting a select squad of middle and high school girls across the GTA for an intensive 4-week innovation sprint.You won’t just be a student.
You’ll be a Squad Member working alongside elite female mentors to solve urban and tech challenges. Upon completing your mission at our live Toronto Showcase, you will officially graduate into our Alumni Network, unlocking lifelong mentorship, peer networking, and exclusive future opportunities.
Your Mission, 4-Pillar Curriculum
Mission Phase 1:
SCIENCE
Dive into big climate and urban datasets using real Toronto case studies.
Mission Phase 2: TECHNOLOGY
Wireframe and prototype a digital solution to the problems discovered in Phase 1.
Mission Phase 3: ENGINEERING
Take your solution into the physical world. Map 3D structures and build rapid physical prototypes.
Mission Phase 4: MATHEMATICS & THE PITCH
Calculate the economic impact and return on investment of your product, then package it into a professional pitch.

What is FutureHer?
The FutureHer Mentorship Program is a four-week virtual mentorship experience designed to empowering current female grade 09-12 STEM oriented students.
The program includes live virtual sessions, mentor conversations, interactive activities, peer discussions, a participant workbook, a mini project, and a certificate of completion.
Who is FutureHer for?
FutureHer Girl
Current female grade 09-12 STEM oriented students in high schools looking for insight into the life of a female student pursuing a STEM degree at a Canadian university.
Mentors
Our FutureHer Mentors are early-career women in STEM who are excited to share their journeys, answer real questions, and support high school girls as they explore STEM. They’re here to break stereotypes, build confidence, and show girls what’s possible.
Parents
FutureHer gives your daughter a supportive space to explore STEM, ask questions, meet inspiring female mentors, and build confidence in her future.
Throughout the program, participants gain exposure to STEM careers, university pathways, practical skills, mentorship, and a community of girls with similar interests.
Parents also get to celebrate the journey! The program concludes with an in-person FutureHer Showcase & Celebration, where participants, families, mentors, and guests come together to recognize each girl’s growth, achievements, and FutureHer journey.

Vetted Big Sisters only
Every mentor is a Big Sister in STEM with verified credentials and a documented background check. We never pair girls with unvetted volunteers.
Group Sessions only
Your daughter is matched with a Big Sister, a real woman in STEM, not a chatbot or generic curriculum. Mentorship that meets her where she is.
Sessions Recorded & Shared
Every live session is recorded and the link shared with parents within 24 hours. You can review any session your daughter attends.
Weekly Parent updates
Each week we send parents an email summary of what was covered, what’s coming next, and how their daughter is engaging.
Parent Consent required
Every application requires written parent or guardian consent. Parents have direct access to the team for any concern, any time.
FAQs
My daughter has zero coding, science, or engineering experience. Can she still join?
Yes! The squad is designed for all skill levels. Our curriculum meets recruits exactly where they are. Whether she is opening a data spreadsheet for the very first time or has already dabbled in building her own website, our small cohorts and university mentors ensure she receives customized guidance that matches her pace.
What is the age group for this program?
We recruit students in Grades 7 through 12 (middle school and high school). During our live virtual workshops, students are grouped into peer-matched cohorts so they are collaborating and problem-solving with girls of a similar age.
What is the "Squad Alumni" mindset?
We don’t view this as a 4-week class where students graduate and leave. Completion of the program automatically inducts your daughter into our permanent Alumni Network. This unlocks ongoing peer connection, future mentorship opportunities as she navigates high school and university applications, and a pipeline to step up as a student mentor for future cohorts—an incredible leadership line item for her resume.
What exactly am I paying $300 for?
Your all-inclusive enrollment covers 4 weeks of live, interactive STEM instruction spanning all four pillars (Science, Tech, Engineering, and Math). It includes individual feedback on mid-week technical assessments, direct access to our university mentors during weekly office hours, all digital tool and software licensing, a ticket to the live Toronto Showcase event, and permanent access to our Alumni Network.
How does this program touch every pillar of STEM?
Most programs only focus on coding. Our curriculum challenges the squad to build an integrated Smart City Solution. In Week 1 (Science), they analyze climate data. In Week 2 (Tech), they build a mobile app prototype. In Week 3 (Engineering), they model 3D structures using CAD software. In Week 4 (Math), they calculate project logistics and build a professional pitch deck.
How does the virtual and in-person hybrid model work?
The first 4 weeks are entirely virtual, blending live Saturday workshops with mid-week independent builds and mentor check-ins. This allows students across the GTA to collaborate easily from home. The program concludes with a 1-day, live, in-person Demo Day Showcase in downtown Toronto.
Where and when is the live Toronto event?
The Grand Finale Demo Day will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at a prominent innovation hub in downtown Toronto (exact venue details and safety protocols will be sent directly to registered families during Week 1).
What technology does she need to participate?
She will need a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer (Windows, Mac, or Chromebook) with a working webcam and microphone for our live sessions. All software and design tools used in the program are web-based, meaning you will not need to buy or download expensive applications.
