Where Women in STEM gather to Launch, Grow, and Thrive

Why Join the Sisters in STEM Community

A sisterhood for women across every corner of STEM.

A community of students, researchers, engineers, and professionals who lift each other up from the first intro course to the corner office. We come from different fields and stages, but we share one belief: no one should have to navigate STEM alone.

OUR MISSION & VISION

To build the network we wish we'd had, one where every woman in STEM finds mentorship, belonging, and a champion for her ambitions.

Our vision: a STEM world where representation isn’t the exception, and where sisterhood is how we all rise.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Four words on our Badge

Mentorship

Every member is paired with someone a few steps ahead and invited to pay it forward.

Community

A 24/7 safe, honest space to ask questions, celebrate wins, and be fully yourself.

Advocacy

We open doors, sharing opportunities, amplifying voices, and pushing for equity.

Visibility

We spotlight our members by amplifying their work, stories, and wins for the world to see.

Ways to get involved

A monthly recognition of a community member who has shown consistency, growth, kindness, leadership, or meaningful contribution to the sisterhood.

About Your Host, Lois Adeyemo

Lois Adeyemo is a visionary leader, entrepreneur, public speaker, STEM advocate, and engineer with a distinguished career in water resources and healthcare spanning over nine years. As the Founder of Adelois Consulting and Co-Founder of AfriteQ Academy, she is at the forefront of driving innovation in STEM education, mentorship, and professional development.

She created Sisters in STEM because she wished she had Big Sisters to guide her when she began her own STEM journey. Today, she uses that experience to support the next generation of talented women as they grow, thrive, and reach their full potential in STEM.

Common questions

Everything you might be wondering.

If your question isn’t here, email us at info@adelois.com.

If you're just starting, why should I join now?

Because being early is the best seat in the house. Founding members shape what gets built, lock in their rate for life, and become the women whose voices define the community. The energy in any community is set by the first 100 members — we’d love you to be one of them.

We’re an online-first community. Founding members are spread across multiple countries, with most events held virtually. As we grow we’ll explore in-person meetups in our key regions — and founding members will help us decide where those should happen first.

Yes. Sisters in STEM is built for women and girls who are studying, working, or transitioning into science, technology, engineering, or mathematics fields. If you’re STEM-adjacent or exploring your options, you’re absolutely welcome.

Yes. You can cancel at any time. You’ll keep access through the end of your current billing month. Just note that if you cancel and later return, you may not be eligible to relock in your original founding rate.

Mentorship opportunities are available through selected events, programs, and paid membership benefits. A permanent one-to-one mentor match is not guaranteed for every member.

Community activities take place throughout the month, with larger events, hangouts, workshops, and mentorship sessions scheduled regularly.

Members may share relevant opportunities with approval. Promotional posts must align with the community’s purpose and follow the community guidelines.

Yes. Members who want to represent the community, welcome new sisters, and support community growth may apply to become Sister Ambassadors.
